Sian was great. She is so good at explaining the reasons for doing things a certain way by making sure you know why it will help you play better. She is also very patient, because I have never had any formal lessons or training about scales and triads etc. I had no idea what others were talking about but Sian was great about explaining things to me. Thanks Sian, I kook forward to working with you again. Sorry I had to drag you back to a grade school level, but it was refreshing to have someone meet you where you are.
I had my EAP with Sian yesterday and got so much out of it.
I found Sian to be so positive and enthusiastic about everything and she helped me set out a practice routine, which will focus on the stuff I need and wanted to improve on.
Most importantly, I was asked exactly what I wanted to get out of the assessment and was emailed a detailed plan later the same day, which covers the next 12 weeks.
I had learnt all the basics years ago, but I was playing the same old riffs and had become lazy and forgotten most of it. After this assessment, I feel like I've got my mojo back and am looking forward to taking my bass playing to the next level.
The zoom meeting I had with Sian was very relaxed and really fun to do.
