The book was everything I expected.
If you are prepared to work through the exercises in this book, you will progress from simple ‘roots’ only baselines (but with rhythmic variation) to some very complex bass lines with articulation, fills, riffs etc. But be prepared to work - it will take time, but it’s worth it ,
Bass Line Mastery is a terrific addition to any Bass player's library. James Eager has written a very well thought out and easy to understand book walking players through different techniques to create compelling bass lines. His explanations and exercises are easy to follow and there is a different backing track for each chapter to play along with as you learn the different techniques that each chapter teaches you. Highly recommended for bass players of all skill levels.

I have just finished reading Bass line mastery ,& I have learnt so much . This book has given me more knowledge of the bass , than any other book I have read . This is a must have to improve your playing and a great reference resource, to use for years to come .
