Finally Start To Play The Whole Fretboard By Using A Simple "Visual Method" Without Memorizing 100+ Notes or Melting Your Brain With Theory.
The Fretboard Freedom book will show you a simple ‘visual system’ that makes the fretboard clear and easy to understand.
You’ll learn the 8 key landmarks and a handful of shapes and patterns that repeat all over the neck so you can start to play beyond the first five frets.
You don’t need to memorise hundreds of notes all at once. That’s not how our brains work. We didn’t learn to speak by memorising a dictionary.
Instead, we learned through patterns, landmarks and repetition. This book applies the same idea to the fretboard.
As someone who is openly dyslexic, raw memorisation never worked for me. What did work was creating simple visual anchors on the fretboard and connecting them into a map I could trust.
That approach has carried me through more than 20 years as a professional bass guitarist and it’s the same approach I’ve now shared with thousands of students at eBassGuitar.com.
This includes diagrams, notations, tabs and play-along tracks so you can quickly connect theory to practice and apply everything directly to your playing.
By the end, you’ll be able to:
✅Map the fretboard using 8 key landmarks
✅ Find notes fast using essential shapes and patterns
✅ Navigate every position with confidence
✅ Visualize the neck and play musical bass lines
But more than that, you’ll feel a deep sense of clarity...
Like the fog has lifted from the fretboard and you finally know where you are and where you’re going…
And most of all play better bass lines that your band or mates will start to appreciate and become proud of.

Very good book, explains everything very well and for a beginner like me, James chunks down the fretboard to make it easier to understand the patterns.
My son really loves this book. He’s unable to take online courses. Maybe you can recommend more instructional materials to purchase.
Interesting!
Hi, I received this incredibly useful and beneficial book about a month ago. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to really sit down and study the book and play along yet. I’m positive in the mere future, I will and that I’ll also wreak the benefits from this well laid out and thought provoking book. Thank you James for all your hard work and dedication to helping us bassists!
the information allow me to see the fretboard a little different
